The Thorndale

This recently renovated building is in close proximity to the theater district, yet well removed from the chaos of Times Square. Everything you could need from restaurants to shopping is within walking distance.

What began in 1905 as a carriage house is now an intimate property of just twenty-one homes, including two penthouses with expansive terraces. Thorndale features streamlined living spaces in a rough-hewn framework of original exposed brick and timber beams. The superb renovation infuses these rustic architectural elements with luxe, modern design, solid oak hardwood flooring, large windows and gas fireplaces.

It was designed by Frank A. Rooke, who also designed the Claremont Riding Academy on the Upper West Side.

The building is located in the historic Clinton district, which limits building heights to just 6 stories, creating a vast and dramatic view from the penthouse over the low Clinton area buildings into the high-rises of Time Square and Mid Town.

The building has a lift and a part-time doorman supplemented by virtual doorman services.
